The Nov. 22 edition of "Theater Talk," the New York City PBS talk show that offers interviews with top theatre celebrities and writers, will feature interviews with two Bettys: Tony Award winner Betty Buckley and the Girl Group BETTY.

Betty Buckley, who recently completed an acclaimed run at Feinstein's at the Regency, offered heartfelt performances in Sunset Boulevard, Carrie, Song & Dance, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 1776 and Promises, Promises. She won a Tony Award for her performance as Grizabella in the Broadway production of Cats, and she starred on the London stage in Promises, Promises and Sunset Boulevard, earning an Olivier Award nomination for her work in the latter. Also a TV ("Eight Is Enough") and film (Tender Mercies) star, the actress-singer devotes much of her time to concert appearances around the world. Her solo CD, "Stars and the Moon: Betty Buckley Live at the Donmar Warehouse," was nominated for a Grammy Award, and her newest recording, "The Doorway," was just released on the Fynsworth Alley label.

The Girl Group BETTY currently stars in the "alterna musical" BETTY RULES at Off-Broadway's Zipper Theatre. Directed by Rent's Michael Greif, the musical/performance piece chronicles the real life ups and downs of the 17-year-old unsigned band — BETTY — fronted by Alyson Palmer, Amy Ziff and Elizabeth Ziff. Following their first live gig in 1985, the band has played nationally and internationally at venues like Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center. BETTY has released four of its albums on its label, The Man from B.E.T.T.Y.: "Hello BETTY!," "Kiss My Sticky," "Limboland" and "betty3." Their most recent release, "Carnival," was put out by the internet label Stereo Society.

Hosted by New York Post theatre columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, "Theatre Talk" airs late Friday nights at midnight on WNET/Thirteen.
