Five hundred years of life in these here United States is the subject of The Complete History of America (Abridged), running May 3-June 11 at the Theatre in the Square in Marietta, Georgia. This production, directed by Phillip DePoy, ends the mainstage season at the theatre.

Written by Adam Long, Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, America is the sister show to the trio's successful Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) and like the latter, purports to offer a vast amount of information in very little time and with great comic sensibilities. Instead of the Bard, however, America skewers U.S. history from Christopher Columbus to Bill Clinton and beyond. Christopher Ekholm, Donald Griffin and David Milford take the Square's three parts.

Designing Complete History are Crawford Pratt (sets), Kevin McDermott (lighting), Kenton (costumes) and Dung Nguyen (sound).

Tickets are $25-$20. The Theatre in the Square is located at 11 Whitlock Avenue. For reservations, call (770) 422-8369. Theatre in the Square is on the web at http://www.theatreinthesquare.com.
