News Theatres Defy Latest London Attacks The shows will go on in London on July 21 despite what appear to be more attempts by terrorists to destabilize the city. Although several London Underground stations and one bus were hit by small explosions earlier in the day, sparking a general security services alert, London theatres intend to stay open.

London was rocked by suicide bombers on its transport systems exactly two weeks ago, on July 7. On that occasion, the transport system was so crippled and the devastation so widespread that practically the entire London theatre community — faced with staff, performers, crew and audience members not being able to get to venues — closed up shop for the night. This time, though, the Society of London Theatre says that it’s business as usual. According to the advice they had received from police at the time of writing, there was no reason for shows not to go ahead.
