Tony Award-nominated songwriter David Yazbek offers an evening of music from his album "Evil Monkey Man" May 30 at Joe's Pub.

The 7:30 concert features Yazbek at the piano for songs from "Evil Monkey Man," as well as new material and songs from his recent Tony-nominated Broadway musical Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.

According to Joe's Pub, Yazbek will be doing "what he does best: sing his own songs and punish the grand piano while stamping his right foot with great vigor. Don’t miss it."

A recording artist, vocalist and pianist, Yazbek was Tony Award-nominated for the musicals Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, The Full Monty and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. He has released five solo albums and earned an Emmy Award for his writing for "Late Night with David Letterman."
