News Thrill Me, the Leopold & Loeb Musical, Gets NY Cast Album April 20 The New York cast recording of Thrill Me: The Leopold & Loeb Story, a musical seen in the Midtown International Theatre Festival in 2003, will be released April 20 on the Original Cast Records label.

The show, about the notorious thrill killers, has book, music and lyrics by Stephen Dolginoff. With no apparent motive, the title characters killed a young boy in 1924 in Chicago, shocking the nation.

The New York cast album CD preserves the performances of Christopher Totten as Nathan Leopold and Matthew S. Morris as Richard Loeb as presented in the Fourth Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival, produced by Jim Kierstead and directed by Martin Charnin.

The entire Midtown Festival run of the show was sold out and extended.

This is not the first recording of Thrill Me. In 1997, OC Records released a concept CD of an early version of the score.

Stephen Dolginoff was commissioned to write the book, music and lyrics for producer Pierre Cossette's planned Broadway musical, The Body Ventura. That project is now officially on the shelf.

Cast albums of Dolginoff's musicals One Foot Out the Door (New York 1993; Boston 1994; Bistro Award for book, music & lyrics); Most Men Are (New York, 1995; Toronto 2001) and Journey to the Center of the Earth (Kansas City 1996; St. Louis 1997 MAC Award nomination for Recording of the Year) are all available on Original Cast Records.

He is currently developing his musical Panic, the story behind Orson Welles' War of the Worlds radio broadcast.
