News   Through the Night, With Obie Winner Beaty, Ends Limited Run Dec. 5
Through the Night — written and performed by Daniel Beaty, who received an Obie Award for his solo play Emergence-See! —  ends its limited engagement at Off-Broadway's Union Square Theatre Dec. 5.

The production, which officially opened Sept. 26, will have played 15 previews and 70 regular performances. 

Charles Randolph-Wright directs the solo work that tells the story of six African-American males, ages 10-60, "who discover the power of possibility through one extraordinary event."

The production features scenic, projection and lighting design by Alexander V. Nichols and sound design and original music by Lindsay Jones.

Through the Night premiered as a co-production with the Crossroads Theatre and The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles. Daryl Roth produces; Bill Cosby, Ruby Dee, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Phylicia Rashad are artistic ambassadors.
