News Tony Bennett and Wicked Composer Will Be Among Guests at LaGuardia Arts Gala LaGuardia Arts will celebrate its 30th anniversary May 18 with a benefit gala, Lyrics and Legacy. The evening will feature such guests as Tony Bennett, Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz, Tony-nominated performer Ann Hampton Callaway and six-time Emmy Award winner and Tony-winning star of It Shoulda Been You, Tyne Daly.

The special event will honor Oscar, Grammy and Emmy award-winning lyricists Marilyn and Alan Bergman. The Bergmans' careers span over 50 years in show business, having worked with the likes of Fred Astaire, Michel Legrand, Frank Sinatra and Barbra Streisand. Their Broadway credits as song and lyric writers include Street Corner Symphony, Ballroom and Something More.

Bennett will present the couple with the annual LaGuardia Arts Hall of Fame Award.

The event will also feature guest artists Tony winner David Hyde PierceBeautiful star and Tony nominee Jarrod Spector; Grammy-nominated jazz pianist Bill Charlap; cabaret performer Jessica Molaskey; jazz guitarist, vocalist and songwriter John Pizzarelli; and Oscar, Grammy and Golden Globe winner Paul Williams.
