News Tony Nominee Daniel Breaker Is Broken and Proud at Joe's Pub Following an acclaimed run in 2013, Tony nominee Daniel Breaker (Passing Strange, The Book of Mormon) returns to Joe's Pub with his solo show, Down and Out, beginning March 23.

Breaker's Down and Out will combine storytelling with multilayered music ranging from blues to funk. It is billed as "dry, soulful, broken and proud." The performances will feature special guest appearances from Amber Renee Gray (An Octaroon, Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812) and Jacob Ming-Trent (Shrek, Hands on a Hardbody, Julie Taymor's A Midsummer Night's Dream). Breaker will also be backed by a band including Passing Strange players Jon Spurney and Christian Cassan, along with Cody Owen Stine, Jeremy Chatzky, Sean Nowell and Ron McBee.

Currently playing in The Book of Mormon, Breaker's further Broadway credits include The Performers and Shrek the Musical
