Levy will use tap, his specialty, to tell his own story through dance and song. The Emmy winner will be joined by The Lion King's Torya Beard, Anika Ellis from The Color Purple and Julliard graduate Natrea Blake.
Levy, who choreographed the tap numbers in Jelly's Last Jam alongside Gregory Hines, will co-direct the evening with Marshall L. Davis Jr. One More Rhythm is written by Levy, Myla Churchill and Marshall L. Davis, Jr. Brian Whitted will musical direct with vocal arrangements by Chapman Roberts and choreography by Amy Hall and Darrell G. Moultrie.
Levy is also set to co-star alongside Tony nominee Deborah Yates in the NYMF's dance-inspired musical Platforms Oct. 2-6. He is an Outer Critics Circle Award winner for his work on Jelly's Last Jam. His additional credits include Ted Levy and Friends, with director Gregory Hines, Savion Glover and Jimmy Slyde. Levy made his directorial debut with the New York Shakespeare Festival production of Doin' It In the Park with Savion Glover. He is an Emmy winner for his television debut in the PBS special "Precious Memories."
