News Tony Nominees Thomas Sadoski, Zach Grenier and Paxton Whitehead to Appear at Hartford Stage Russell Hornsby, Thomas Sadoski, Paxton Whitehead, Zach Grenier and Nilaja Sun will appear in Hartford Stage's Brand:NEW festival, which will launch Nov. 4.

Will Power's, Fetch Clay, Make Man, which will feature the previously announced Tony winner Ben Vereen, will welcome Russell Hornsby, Reg E. Cathey, Sonequa Martin and Richard Masur to its cast. Des McAnuff will stage the 7:30 PM reading Nov. 4. The drama depicts the real-life friendship between African American actor Fetchit and boxer Muhammad Ali.

Hartford Stage artistic director Michael Wilson will stage Johnny's War, penned by former CEO of Parade Publications Walter Anderson, Nov. 5 at 7:30 PM. The cast will include Robert Clohessy, Steven Strait, Michele Shay and Robert Hogan.

Jeremy Cohen will direct Sprott Cycle, a new play cycle by Hartford Stage's 2009-2010 New Voices Fellow Hana Sharif, Nov. 6 at 11 AM, 2 PM and 4 PM. The reading will feature Jedadiah Schultz, Stephen Tyrone Williams, Nikiya Mathis, Traci Tolmaire, Perri Gafney, Christ McKinney, Gretchen Hall and Kes Khemnu.

Michael Elyanow's Robyn Is Happy, presented Nov. 6 at 8 PM will feature Yetta Gottesman, Jeanine Serralles and Jennifer Ruby Morris.

Israeli writer Eran Kolirin's The Band's Visit, based on his 2007 film about an Egyptian band that winds up in Israel, will be directed by Maxwell Williams Nov. 7 at 3 PM. The reading cast includes Philip Hernandez, Amir Babayoff, Barzin Akhavan, Ben Graney, Andrew Guilarte, Harsh Nayyar, Louis Francisco Galindo, Annie Purcell and Bess Rous. Pulitzer Prize nominee and Tony Award nominee Quiara Alegría Hudes' Water By the Spoonful, directed by Davis McCallum, will be staged Nov. 7 at 7:30 PM. Scheduled to perform the work are Stephen Barker Turner, Reg E. Cathey, Nilaja Sun, Teresa Avia Lim, Armando Reisco, Liza Colon-Zayas and Faijer Al-Kaisi.

Michael Kramer's Divine Rivalry, which is slated for a world-premiere bow at Hartford Stage in early 2011, will be presented under Wilson's direction Nov. 7 at 7:30 PM. That cast will feature Tony Award nominees Thomas Sadoski, Zack Grenier and Paxton Whitehead.
