News Tony Winner Adam Guettel Will Debut New Material Alongside Pace University Students The Pace University Department of Performing Arts will present a concert of works by Tony Award-winning composer Adam Guettel (The Light in the Piazza), performed by the composer and accompanied by Pace BFA Musical Theatre students and alumni, April 30.

The 8 PM concert, directed by Amy Rogers, "is the culmination of a year-long artist-in-residency in which Guettel taught classes in musical theory, song interpretation, musical theatre history and musical theatre composition as well tested new material from a new project with Pace students," according to press notes. The program includes a mix of old and new songs from the many projects that Guettel is currently working on. In addition, he will discuss his creative process with demonstrations of different versions and revisions of songs. Music direction for the evening is by Robert Meffe, Andrew Smithson and Joel Waggoner.
