"You might find Alice standing solo with her guitar," press notes state, "as her passionate, gleaming pipes shine brightly through selections from Broadway musicals Ripley originated, such as the Pulitzer Prize winning Next to Normal, where Ripley gave her Tony Award winning performance (2009 Best Actress in a Musical), or entertaining you with her new self-composed release 'Beautiful Eyes', a melodic, rockin' nod to a Hoagy Carmichael cakewalk."

Ripley, who won a Tony for her performance in Next to Normal, has also appeared on Broadway in Side Show, The Rocky Horror Show, James Joyce's The Dead, Sunset Boulevard and The Who's Tommy.

The Metropolitan Room is located at 34 W. 22nd Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues). For more information and tickets, which are priced $25, call (212) 206-0440 or visit
