The program will also include remarks by U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and actress Sarah Jessica Parker will present the Corporate Equality Award. The Human Rights Campaign is the nation's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) civil rights organization. According to press notes, "This year's dinner is themed 'Speak the Truth,' symbolizing the time for political representatives, allies, and members to put power in words to push for LGBT equality."

Neuwirth won Tony Awards for her role as Velma Kelly in the current revival of Chicago, and for her role as Nickie in the 1986 revival of Sweet Charity. She will soon be seen opposite Nathan Lane in The Addams Family, opening on Broadway in April. She stars as Morticia Addams.

The Greater New York Gala Dinner will be held at The Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, 301 Park Avenue. The general reception and silent auction will begin at 6 PM; dinner program will begin at 7:15 PM.
