News Tovah Feldshuh, Richard Blake, Bradley Dean, Etai BenShlomo Will Be Part of Workshop of New Musical Damascus Square A private workshop presentation of the new musical Damascus Square will be presented in Manhattan Oct. 25.

The cast will feature multiple Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh, Richard Blake, Bradley Dean, Etai BenShlomo and Natalie Charle Ellis. Ohad Ashkenazi directs. Drama Desk winner Mary Mitchell Campbell is the music supervisor; the presentation will also feature videos by video art director Guy Romem.

Damascus Square is co-written by Shai Baitel, Oran Eldor and Sarah Hirsch. The new musical, according to press notes, "tells the story of a spy who befriends the enemy, endangering himself and his mission. It is inspired by the story of Eli Cohen, the famous Israeli master spy who worked for the Mossad in Syria in the 1960s. Damascus Square takes the audience to the Middle East but also into the hearts and minds of the region’s people. In a world that redefines itself, one man’s dangerous journey puts loyalty, friendship and love to the test."

The musical is presented by Mana Contemporary, an arts and cultural center, and is supported by other producers.
