A spokesperson for the TV production previously confirmed to Playbill.com that the recording will be available digitally, including iTunes, Dec. 11; the CD will be released Dec. 18. Click here for more information.
The recording will include such well-known hits as "Ease on Down the Road," "A Brand New Day" and "Home," plus the new song "We Got It." Written by NE-YO, Harvey Mason Jr. and Stephen Oremus with Elijah Kelley, "We Got It" will be performed in the broadcast by cast members NE-YO and Kelley, along with Shanice Williams, David Alan Grier and The Wiz Live! ensemble. The TV version will also include the song "You Can't Win," which was written for the Broadway version, cut out of town, but restored for the film version.
The single "Home," performed by Williams, will be available digitally Nov. 27.

The cast will be headed by Stephanie Mills as Aunt Em, Queen Latifah as The Wiz, Mary J. Blige as Evillene, David Alan Grier as The Cowardly Lion, Uzo Aduba as Glinda, Amber Riley as Addaperle, Ne-Yo as the Tin Man, Elijah Kelley as the Scarecrow, Common as Bouncer and 18-year-old newcomer Shanice Williams as Dorothy.
Kenny Leon is directing The Wiz, with Harvey Fierstein adapting the book for TV. This latest incarnation of The Wiz is also on track for a full-scale Broadway revival.
Stephen Oremus, who won Tonys for Best Orchestrations for his work on The Book of Mormon and Kinky Boots, serves as music director for The Wiz. Fatima Robinson ("Dreamgirls") will choreograph the production, and Harvey Mason Jr. ("Dreamgirls," "Pitch Perfect 2") will serve as music producer.
