News Triplett, Cooper and Morrissey to Take Over in West End Guys and Dolls In the wake of Sarah Lancashire leaving the current West End revival of Guys and Dolls due to a chest infection, the show’s producers announced a cast change headed by Sally Anne Triplett, who will replace Lancashire in the role of Adelaide beginning March 6.

The end-of-contract cast change also sees dancer Adam Cooper take over from Nigel Harman in the role of Sky Masterson and TV sitcom star Neil Morrissey replace Nigel Lindsay (The Pillowman, Dealer’s Choice) as Nathan Detroit.

Michael Grandage’s production of the Frank Loesser musical opened at the Piccadilly Theatre with Ewan McGregor and Jane Krakowski as Sky and Adelaide on June 1, 2005.

Citing a chest infection, Lancashire has not performed in the production since Jan. 4. She was contracted to perform in the show until March 4.

Triplett recently played Roxie Hart in the long-running West End production of Chicago, and prior to that starred as Reno Sweeney in the National Theatre revival of Cole Porter’s Anything Goes.

Cooper, who performed with the Royal Ballet for seven years, is best known for his performance in Matthew Bourne’s male Swan Lake, for which he won the Evening Standard Best Dance Performance Award. He also starred in London productions of On Your Toes and Singin’ in the Rain. Morrissey, best known for the the TV comedy “Men Behaving Badly,” was last seen on the West End stage in Acorn Antiques.
