A benefit for the Obie Award-winning Clubbed Thumb theatre company, Tumacho is directed by Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Dinner With Friends). Tumacho is presented at Classic Stage Company's 13th Street Theatre.
In addition to Wilson (Oklahoma!, The Full Monty, "Angels in America"), Borle (Peter and the Starcatcher) and Keenan-Bolger (The Glass Menagerie), the 7:30 PM reading features Kristine Nielsen (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike), Richard Kind (The Big Knife), John Ellison Conlee (The Full Monty), America Ferrera ("Ugly Betty"), Bill Buell (Equus) and Daniel Breaker (Passing Strange).
Here's how it's billed: "In a small frontier town in the Old West, the people are dropping like flies at the hands of Big Bill Yardley. But when Tumacho rolls back into town, all the rules will change."
Lipton's works include the acclaimed No Place to Go as well as Red-Handed Otter and Luther.
