News Tuna Does Vegas Announces 21-City Tour Additional tour dates have been announced for Tuna Does Vegas – the latest in the popular Tuna series by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard.

As previously reported by Playbill.com, the fourth installment in the Tuna series – starring Williams and Sears – kicks off its multi-city tour March 25-30 at Bass Performance Hall, under the auspices of Casa Mañana. Tuna Does Vegas is directed by co-writer Ed Howard.

In Tuna Does Vegas "Arles and Bertha plan to renew their wedding vows, Inita and Helen from the Tastee Kreme take a spin as showgirls, Joe Bob goes on the Rush Limbaugh diet, and Vera and Pearl battle over the slot machines," according to press notes. "You'll bust out laughing when Leonard's wife accidentally stuffs a $20 bill into a male dancer's underwear and goes back for change. What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas!"

Following the Ft. Worth engagement, Tuna Does Vegas will tour to San Francisco, CA (June 17-28, at the Curran Theatre); Galveston, TX (Aug. 5-24, at the Grand 1894 Opera House); Corpus Christi, TX (Sept. 16-17, at Bayfront); Orange, TX (Sept. 19-21, at the Lutcher Theatre); College Station, TX (Sept. 23-24, at the Rudder Theater Complex); El Paso, TX (Sept. 26-28, at the Chavez Theatre); Ft. Worth, TX (Oct. 21-26, at Bass Performance Hall); Oklahoma City, OK (Nov. 3-9, at the Rose State Theatre); San Antonio, TX (Nov. 11-16, at the Majestic Theatre); Austin, TX (Nov. 18-30, at the Paramount Theatre); and Nashville, TN (Dec. 2-7, at the James K. Polk Theatre).

Tour dates for 2009 include Seattle, WA (March 31-April 5, at the Moore Theatre); Portland, WA (April 7-12, at the Newmark Theatre); La Mirada, CA (April 17-May 3, at La Mirada Theatre); San Diego, CA (May 5-10, at the Balboa Theatre); Tuscon, AZ (May 12-17, at the Music Hall); and Cleveland, OH (June 10-28, at the Cleveland Playhouse).

The production includes scenic design by Christopher McCollum, costume design by Linda Fisher, lighting design by David Nancarrow and sound design by Ken Huncovsky. Williams, Sears and Howard have also collaborated on Greater Tuna, A Tuna Christmas and Red, White and Tuna. A Tuna Christmas landed on Broadway for a limited holiday run in 1994, earning Joe Sears a Best Actor in a Play nomination.
