Variety reports that Johnston will be part of the new Nicky Silver comedy “Don’t Ask,” which concerns a married father and his two sons. In the pilot, the married dad comes out to his family and announces that he's in love with his wife's therapist. “Don’t Ask” will be executive produced by Fox TV Entertainment Group chairman Sandy Grushow, Phase Two's Paul Shapiro and playwright Silver. Silver's plays include Beautiful Child, Pterodactyls, Maiden's Prayer, Raised In Captivity, The Altruists and Eros Trilogy. He also penned a new book for the recent Broadway revival of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart's The Boys From Syracuse.
Best known for her work on TV's "Third Rock From the Sun," Kristen Johnston made her Broadway debut in the 2001 revival of The Women. She has also been seen Off-Broadway in Aunt Dan and Lemon and Much Ado About Nothing in Central Park. Johnston will also be part of the upcoming feature film “Strangers with Candy.”
