The U.K. premiere of Cruel Intentions: The ’90s Musical is presented at the Edinburgh Fringe August 1–25 in the Assembly George Square Gardens.

Directed by Jonathan O’Boyle with choreography by Gary Lloyd, the cast features Dominic Andersen as Sebastian Valmont, Rebecca Gilhooley as Kathryn Merteuil, Evelyn Hoskins as Cecile Caldwell, Scott Hunter as Blaine Tuttle, Sophie Isaacs as Annette Hargrove, Dean John-Wilson as Greg McConnell, Ashley Samuels as Ronald Clifford, and Gemma Salter as Bunny Caldwell.

Cruel Intentions: The ’90s Musical, which is based on the 1999 film starring Reese Witherspoon, Ryan Phillippe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Selma Blair, was created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin, and Roger Kumble, who wrote the original film.

The musical, set to ’90s pop classics, follows hedonistic Manhattan step-siblings Sebastian Valmont and Kathryn Merteuil, who bet on destroying an innocent girl.

The creative team also includes designer Lee Newby, music director Sarah Morrison, sound designer Dan Samson, and casting director Debbie O’Brien.

The U.K. premiere is produced in the Palais du Variété Spiegeltent at Assembly George Square Gardens by Bill Kenwright.
