News Umphress, Nason and Beirne Set for NYTB Evening at the Duplex The New Work Theatre Barn will present cast members from Walmartopia and Make Me a Song, as part of an upcoming evening at the Duplex showcasing the work of Boston Conservatory graduates.

Forbidden Broadway creator Gerard Alessandrini, an alumnus of the Boston Conservatory, will lend material to the Oct. 27 concert that will also showcase the work of Conservatory composers Jason Michael Snow, Ryan Bogner, Mishaela Faucher, Jonathan Reid Gealt and Will Larche. Music direction is by Chris Chung.

Austin Regan will direct the 9:30 PM event that will feature the talents of Boston Conservatory alumni Alysha Umphress (William Finn's Make Me a Song), DeMond Nason (Walmartopia), Elliot Norton winner Bridget Beirne (The Wild Party), Saum Eskandani (Idol, the Musical), Shannon Amiry, Tim Kava, Mitzi Michaels, Samia Mounts, Anthony Napoletano, Susan O'Dea, Tori Scott, Erin Willis, Cayt'lan Wayt and Emily Zuzelski.

There is a $10 cover charge and a two-drink minimum; call (212) 255-5438 for reservations. The Duplex Cabaret Theater is located in Manhattan at 61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue.
