Upon the Dec. 1 launch of its beta version, the Playbill Vault includes information on over 10,000 shows and 120,000 actors, creative teams and crew members who have worked or are currently working on Broadway, with content being added on a daily basis.
Many of Broadway's great theatres were built nearly a century ago or longer. Imagine all the classics that have played over decades in a house like the Imperial Theatre on West 46th Street, where Billy Elliot ends a three-year run on Jan. 8, 2012. The theatre, which opened in 1923, has been filled with some of Broadway's greatest hits.
