News "Urban Cowboy," "West Wing" Stars Are New Exonerated Off-Broadway, June 3-8 Debra Winger ("Urban Cowboy"), Richard Schiff ("The West Wing") and Chad Lowe join the cast of Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen's The Exonerated, June 3. The new additions to the lineup join "Oz" star Harold Perrineau through June 8.

The Exonerated is drawn from the stories of a half-dozen former death row inmates who shared a variety of experiences and feelings with playwrights Blank and Jensen. Most described losing their faith in the justice system, while discovering that it was the resources available to a defense team that made the difference between achieving justice or experiencing a miscarriage of it. Bob Balaban (the actor seen in "A Mighty Wind") directs.

Lowe recently appeared Off-Broadway in Burning Blue. He and Winger (A.R.T.'s productions of How I Learned to Drive and Ivanov) have previously starred in the rotating cast. Schiff joins The Exonerated the week following "West Wing" co-star John Spencer's stint. Perrineau performed in the Off-Broadway production of Blue/Orange.

Sanders, Kyra Sedgwick, Ally Sheedy, Brooke Shields, John Spencer, Mary Steenburgen, Lee Tergesen, Marlo Thomas, Kathleen Turner, Robert Vaughn, John Ventimiglia, Ben Vereen, Debra Winger and Montel Williams.

Upcoming casts will include Robert Carradine (June 10-22), Dina Merrill (June 17 22), Mariska Hargitay, Robert Vaughn, (June 24-29), Eric Roberts (July 1-13) and Judy Collins (July 15-20). Artists and dates are subject to change.
