Produced and directed by Zombie Joe, the production will officially open Oct. 10. The cast comprises Denise Devin, Amanda Dieli, Mark Hein, Russell Lewis, Brian Morgan, Geoff Parish, Jonica Patella, Erikka Walsh, Lisa Warternberg and Jana Wimer. The director, in press notes, says Urban Death is a "terrifying new production of inexplicable horrors, unfathomable monstrosities and the disturbed spirits that walk among us! The lights come up on a pile of grotesquely intertwined corpses in a mass grave. As the dead turn into zombies, you see over 30 horrifying vignettes in just under 60 minutes. Be warned: Blood will be spilled and guts will be a-flyin' in this R-rated scare-fest." The production is "not suitable for children under 14."

Urban Death features an original musical score penned by Christopher Reiner with additional music by Stephen Cohn.

Show times are Thursdays at 11 PM and Fridays and Saturdays at 11 PM and 12:30 AM.

The Players Theatre is located at 115 MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village. For tickets, priced $30, call (212) 352-3101. For more information visit www.ZombieJoes.com or www.urbandeath.com.
