News Valarie Pettiford, La Toya London, Sharon McNight Set for Divas and Dames Benefit Broadway actresses Valarie Pettiford, Lisa Vroman and Sharon McNight along with "Americal Idol" contestant La Toya London will be part of Divas and Dames May 1 at the Marines Memorial Theater in San Francisco.

The 7:30 PM event will benefit The Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation as well as Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Other "divas" set to perform include Connie Champagne, Matthew Martin, Maureen McVerry, Carmen Milagro, Carly Ozard, Donna Sachet, The B.O.O.B.S! (a trio including Jessica Coker, Leanne Borghesi and Soila Hughes) and Motown trio La'Chic (Felicia Curtis, Jacqueline McBride and Chayla Smith).

The concert, according to press notes, will "feature singers in an evening of upbeat, high-energy music, dance and comedy."

Pettiford was seen on Broadway in Fosse, Big Deal, Grind and Sophisticated Ladies. McNight appeared on Broadway in Starmites, and Vroman has been seen in Aspects of Love and The Phantom of the Opera.
