The legal drama is about Eli Stone (Johnny Lee Miller), an attorney at a top law firm in San Francisco who finds out he might be a prophet. Garber will play the senior partner at the firm who's the father of Stone's fiancee.
"Eli Stone" is produced by Touchstone Television and Berlanti Television, run by the writer-exec producer Greg Berlanti ("Brothers & Sisters).
Garber became available after his new Fox show "Justice" was canceled.
Garber has appeared on Broadway in Damn Yankees, Lend Me a Tenor, Little Me, Noises Off, Sweeney Todd and Deathtrap, among other shows.
Garber was nominated for three Emmys for starring as Jack Bristow on ABC's "Alias." His film credits include "The First Wives Club," "Legally Blonde" and "Sleepless in Seattle."
He will soon be seen in the City Center Encores! staging of Follies.
