The Blake Edwards/Henry Mancini musical, Victor/Victoria, will play at MA's North Shore Music Theatre, Aug. 3-22.
Based on the Edwards film of the same name, Victor/Victoria is story of a woman who plays a man playing a woman in 1930s Paris. Donna English, who just finished her stint in On The Twentieth Century at CT's Goodspeed, and is also remembered for her roles in NYC's Forbidden Broadway and Ruthless!, will play the title role in the production, with David Hess co-starring. Julie Andrews starred in both the film and original Broadway version, with Liza Minnelli and Raquel Welch also taking on the role in New York, and Toni Tennille featured in the national tour.
