News Walnut Street's Studio Will House Glass Menagerie, My Way and World Premiere Shows for the 2010-11 season of Walnut Street Theatre's Off-Off-Broadway-style, 80-seat Independence Studio on 3 have been announced. The world-premiere comedy Caesar's Palace O' Fun is among titles.

The Walnut's 2010-2011 Studio 3 season includes:

  • The world premiere of Frank Ferrante's Caesar's Palace O' Fun. In it, "Caesar is a Latin lounge lothario who's here to present his new 'spectacular,' packed with music, variety acts, surprises and laughs galore." Expect "outrageous antics and audience interaction." Nov. 23, 2010–Jan. 2, 2011.
  • Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie, "prior to the Walnut's national tour." In the classic, "Amanda Wingfield, a faded Southern belle, holds on tight to her two children, the painfully shy Laura, and the rebellious Tom. A hauntingly personal work, the play tells the story of the Wingfields, their lost dreams, family bonds and survival." Jan. 18–Feb. 6, 2011.
  • The Ugly One by Marius von Mayenburg, "a dark comedy that takes a deep look into the concept of beauty in a society shaped by plastic surgeons." The hero "is deemed too ugly to sell his own product," so "he goes under the knife for help. When the bandages come off, his world is turned inside out." Feb. 22–March 13, 2011.

  • Andrew Bovell's theatrical trilogy of interwoven stories, Speaking in Tongues. "On a lonely road, a leading psychiatrist disappears. As the detective works to piece together what happened, he delivers a puzzle of relationships in crisis. This highly charged thriller is a captivating and wickedly funny play about making mistakes and living with the consequences." March 29–April 17, 2011.
  • My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra. "Two dynamic couples take the audience from the 1940s swing era to the bright lights of Las Vegas with the Rat Pack and beyond." The score includes such famous Sinatra tunes as "Strangers in the Night," "I've Got You Under My Skin," "Fly Me to the Moon" and "New York, New York." May 3–June 26, 2011.
