Video Watch Christopher Sieber and More in Atlanta Concert Staging of Candide The Leonard Bernstein operetta is a joint production between the Alliance Theatre and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

Take a look above at a trailer for the current staged concert of Leonard Bernstein’s 1956 operetta Candide, playing through May 20 at Atlanta Symphony Hall in a joint production between the Alliance Theatre and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.

The video features Bernstein's soaring melodies on such tunes as “The Best of All Possible Worlds,” and “Bon Voyage.”

The cast is led by two-time Tony Award nominee Christopher Sieber as the Narrator/Dr. Pangloss, with Aaron Blake as Candide and Alexandra Schoeny as Cunegonde. Also in the company are Hunter Ryan Herdlicka, Jeremy Aggers, Kathleen Farrar Buccleugh, Terry Burrell, Bradley Dean, Logan Denninghoff, Janine DiVita, Jimm Kieffer, Christian Magby, Jeff McKerley, Alecia Robinson, Ben Thorpe, and Corey James Wright.

The production, as part of the worldwide celebration of the Bernstein centennial, is directed by Alliance Artistic Director Susan V. Booth.

Candide features music by Bernstein, a book by Hugh Wheeler, and lyrics by Richard Wilbur, with additional lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and John LaTouche.

Matt A. Acheson is the production's toy theatre designer/fabricator and performs during each performance as the Puppeteer. The staging also has projection design by Tony nominee Sven Ortel, choreography by Daniel Pelzig, set design by Todd Rosenthal, costume design by Lex Liang, sound design by Clay Benning, and lighting design by Ken Yunker.
