Video Watch Sara Bareilles Perform a Surprise Encore With Jason Mraz on Her First Night Back in Broadway’s Waitress The Tony- and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter stepped back into her musical as Jenna January 16.

Sara Bareilles celebrated her first curtain call of her return to Broadway’s Waitress with a surprise encore of the duet “Bad Idea.” Watch the performance, also featuring Bareilles' new co-star Jason Mraz, above.

Bareilles, who earned Tony and Grammy nominations for the musical’s score, plays Jenna once again after making her Broadway performing debut last year in the central role. She’ll play a limited engagement through February 25.

Grammy winner Mraz stepped into the show as Dr. Pomatter in November and will continue to star opposite Bareilles through February 11. Original cast member Drew Gehling returns to the role beginning February 13.

The current cast also features Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald as Ogie, Joe Tippett as Earl, Eric Anderson as Cal, Maia Nkenge Wilson as Becky, Caitlin Houlahan as Dawn, and Dakin Matthews, who fills in temporarily for Tony winner John Cullum as Joe.
