Disney has released the first trailer for the highly anticipated new version of the classic story, featuring the voices of Beyoncé, Donald Glover, and more.

Get a first look at Pride Rock with the teaser trailer to Disney's upcoming live action adaptation of The Lion King, in theatres July 19, 2019.

The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau, is a reimagining of the hit 1994 film as a combination of CGI and live action, similar to Favreau's earlier The Jungle Book remake. Jeff Nathanson penned the screenplay.Elton John and Tim Rice have composed a new song for Beyoncé, which will be featured in addition to the film's original tracks “Can You Feel The Love Tonight,” “Hakuna Matata,” “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King,” and “Circle of Life.”

The cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, Keegan Michael-Key as Kamari, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, John Oliver as Zazu, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi, Billy Eichner as Timon, John Kani as Rafiki, Eric André as Azizi, Florence Kasumba as Shenzi, JD McCrary as Young Simba, and Shahadi Wright Joseph (an alum Broadway's The Lion King) as Young Nala.

The multi-Tony Award-winning musical The Lion King, directed by Tony winner Julie Taymor, continues at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway.
