Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap has extended its booking period to December 2.
Given that the play arrived in the West End - first at the Ambassadors, then the neighboring (and current) venue of St. Martin's - in the same year that the Queen did, this latest extension seems somewhat academic.
The Mousetrap's strength is that it works on two levels - as a fascinating example of 1950's theatre and as a play whose characterization and humor show why Agatha Christie has continued to be enjoyed by millions of fans long after her death.
