PlayBlog What Does the Musical Mastermind of "Glee" Listen To? A key to the success of FOX's hit series "Glee" has been the show's imaginative choice and adaptation of songs for the show's tale of a struggling high-school glee club.

Adam Anders is the musical wunderkind who arranges and produces the songs selected by producer Ryan Murphy, giving an eye-opening spin to everything from musical theatre classics to contemporary chart-toppers (think: the "I Could Have Danced All Night/Thong Song" mashup.)

In the new issue of People Magazine, Anders offers his "2009 Playlist" - the songs he considers the standouts of the year.

His picks? Miley Cyrus' "The Climb;" Cage the Elephant's "Ain't No Rest for the Wicked;" Jay Sean's "Down;" Shakira's "She Wolf;" Taylor Swift's "Fifteen;" and John Mayer's "Who Says."

You can read Anders' comments on his song choices in the Dec. 28 double issue of People Magazine, which is devoted to "The Best and Worst of 2009."  "Glee" returns to FOX with fresh episodes on April 13.
