The musical, which played an award-winning, extended run at the 2006 New York Musical Theatre Festival, was conceived by Ryan J. Davis and features a book and score by Joe Drymala with additional songs by Ben Cohn and Sean McDaniel, Rick Crom, Glen Kelly, Laurence O'Keefe, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and Eric Svejcar.
Sibling Theatricals, Inc., which has optioned theatrical and film rights to White Noise, are presenting the readings, which feature a revised version of the work. The cast for the March 8 (at 2 PM) and March 10 (noon) readings include recent Jacques Brel star Robert Cuccioli as well as Libby Winters, Kate Loprest, Micah Shepherd, Curtis Holbrook and John O'Creagh.
White Noise, according to press notes, "is the story of sisters Blanche and Eva, lead singers of the teen band White Noise, mixing irresistible harmonies with white power rhetoric and taking the nation by storm. Their message of racial purity resonates with young people across America as the rise of White Noise coincides with a rise in the white supremacist movement which threatens to engulf the country. Blanche and Eva ultimately prove themselves to be masters of the most terrifying and unstoppable form of Fascism in today's culture: Top 40 pop."
Robert Cuccioli, most recently seen Off-Broadway in Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical for his work in Jekyll & Hyde. He won the Drama Desk and the Outer Critics Circle awards for that performance as well. Cuccioli also appeared in the Broadway production of Les Misérables and has been seen on screen in "Sliders," "Baywatch," "Celebrity," "The Stranger" and "Operation Delta Force 3: Clear Target." His recent theatrical credits also include Guys and Dolls, Temporary Help, Lorenzaccio, The Sound of Music and the Actors' Fund benefit concert of On the Twentieth Century.
