Grey has shot at least three episodes on the Los Angeles set, amid the usual secrecy that surrounds the show about international spies, Playbill.com has learned.
His character is "perhaps an evil sort," Grey teased. The episode that introduces him is titled "Another Mr. Sloan." Tony Award-winning actor Ron Rifkin (of the lauded Cabaret revival) has played Sloan since the show's premiere.
Playwright Jon Robin Baitz penned one of the upcoming "Sloan" episodes. Rifkin is a veteran of Baitz's work, including Three Hotels and The Substance of Fire.
The Emmy-nominated Grey's last television appearance was on the HBO series "OZ" in 2003.
Grey's Broadway credits include Cabaret, The Grand Tour, George M!, Goodtime Charley, the hit revival of Chicago and Wicked.
