News Wilkof, LuPone, Maloney, Boyd and Cullen Have Four Beers Off-Broadway, Sept. 26 A quintet of dependable New York stage actors, including Lee Wilkof and Robert LuPone, make up the cast of the Off-Broadway premiere of a new play by David Van Vleck, Four Beers. The show will run at the Rattlestick Theatre Sept. 26 to Oct. 19.

Wilkof, who starred in the original Little Shop of Horrors and was also in the Florida tryout of the current Broadway revival of the musical, and LuPone, who was in the original A Chorus Line, will be joined by Peter Maloney, Guy Boyd and Michael Cullen.

Boyd was seen in the premieres of Christopher Durang's Sex and Longing and Betty's Summer Vacation, and has appeared in a trove of edgy Off-Broadway plays in recent years, such as Stone Cold Dead Serious. Maloney's many supporting turns on Broadway include Our Town, Six Degrees of Separation, Dinner at Eight and Arcadia. Cullen was seen on Broadway in 1996's Bus Stop.

Four Beers has a simple premise: four middle-aged pals resort to brew and conversation when the television at their favorite bar busts. Matters reach a head when a fifth, unexpected man joins the group.

Roger Danforth directs. This is Van Vleck's first produced play.

Tickets are $15. For information and reservations, call (212) 868-4444.
