In the yet-to-be-titled comedy, Tudyk plays a gay character whose straight best friend is also his business partner. The series will explore how the two balance their lifelong friendship and professional lives. Warner Brothers is producing the series, the Hollywood Reporter states. The new series is penned and created by David Kohan and Max Mutchnick. The duo were also responsible for writing and executive producing "Will & Grace."
Tudyk's last Broadway appearance was in the 2007 revival of Prelude to a Kiss. His additional Broadway credits include Spamalot and Epic Proportions. He also appeared in The 24 Hour Plays benefit. Tudyk's screen appearances include "3:10 to Yuma," "Knocked Up," "Strangers with Candy" and "Into the West."
