Will Swenson returned to Broadway April 4 to star as Earl alongside Sara Bareilles in Waitress. Playbill invited the Broadway veteran and Tony nominee to Playbill’s The Tyler Mount Vlog to chat about his latest role and to answer a few pressing questions (example: How he met wife Audra McDonald).

Based on the 2007 film, Waitress features a new score by five-time Grammy Award-nominated singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, direction by Diane Paulus and choreography by Lorin Latarro. Performances began at Broadway’s Brooks Atkinson Theatre March 25, 2016 ahead of an April 24 opening.
