Christopher Shinn's play will be read by Jeremy Strong and Michelle Williams. Shinn will also serve as director for the 7 PM presentation.
The Coming World, according to press notes, is described thusly: "Angry and confused over the suicide of her ex-boyfriend, a young woman looks for comfort and closure by forging a connection with his estranged twin brother. Is it better to live simply and unhappily or to uproot one's life seeking the answers to impossible questions?"
Playwright Christopher Shinn has also written Where Do We Live, What Didn't Happen, Other People, On the Mountain and Four. He is the recipient of an OBIE Award in playwriting as well as Guggenheim and NEA Fellowships.
Although the reading is free, reservations are required by calling (212) 977- 1700. All Out Loud readings are held at the Ars Nova Theater, located at 511 West 54th Street, west of Tenth Avenue. Visit www.arsnovanyc.org for more information.
