LOS ANGELES -- Niggas With Attitudes...and Big Guns, a play by the African-American actor-playwright B.K. Willerford, has extended into an open run at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center in the NoHo Arts District. The show was originally scheduled to end July 9.

Pamela Hall directs a cast of nine, led by Ty Granderson Jones, who appeared in the successful Los Angeles production of The Buffalo Soldiers a few seasons ago.

Willerford's play deals with nine black National Guardsmen who go on weekend maneuvers in 1979 and become the victims/pawns of a disturbed Master Sergeant (Jones) who has a grudge against blacks. The weekend becomes one that will change the mens' lives forever.

Others in the cast include Luis Beckford, Wil Bowers, Kevin Finister, Mark Frazer, Layon, Ty Stoller and David Wendell. Edmund Gaynes is the producer.

Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center is located at 11006 Magnolia Blvd. For tickets and information call (818) 761-0704. -- By Willard Manus
