CHICAGO -- Steppenwolf Theatre is all expectancy as it launches on May 9, not just the American premiere of Hilary Bell's Wolf Lullaby, but a new rehearsal/performance space located on the first floor of the parking garage building. (The theater is reportedly insulated from carbon monoxide fumes.)The play depicts a small town's reaction to the murder of a little girl by another one, a haunted 9-year-old girl named Lizzie.
Says Steppenwolf artistic director Martha Lavey about this third stage, "Producing in an intimate space refreshes the Steppenwolf mission to put acting at the center of our theatrical endeavor."
