Wolf Trap, a national park in Vienna, Virginia, has a summer performance schedule that runs through September.
The Bolshoi will perform Don Quixote; Hubbard Street Dance Chicago's program includes Daniel Ezralow's SF/LB and Lar Lubovitch's Love Stories.
The schedule also includes a series of performances from the National Symphony Orchestra, which uses Wolf Trap as its summer venue, and the Wolf Trap Opera Company.
The NSO concerts include a program of American music (Barber's Adagio, Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, excerpts from Gershwin's Porgy and Bess) conducted by Leonard Slatkin; an evening of Tchaikovsky works conducted by Emil de Cou and featuring violinist Joshua Bell; and James Galway accompanying the orchestra in Mozart's Flute Concerto No. 2.
The opera company's program features Sweeney Todd, Don Giovanni, and La cenerentola, plus two recitals and a concert with the NSO featuring opera highlights.
