The Hollywood Reporter says that Westfeldt and Kevin Hart have both joined the cast of Steve Levitan's new comedy. John Immesoete is the writer and director of the program, which stars Morris Chestnut. "Dante," according to the industry paper, concerns the "life and family of a football superstar [Chestnut], who has an extra-large sense of entitlement and often is out of touch with reality." Westfeldt will play Chestnut's agent; Hart has been cast as his best friend.
Jennifer Westfeldt made her Broadway debut as Eileen Sherwood in the revival of Wonderful Town. She also co-wrote, produced and played the title role in the indie hit "Kissing Jessica Stein." Her theatrical credits include The Fantasticks, Peter Pan, Sweeney Todd, Arms and the Man, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Carousel, My Fair Lady and Fiorello!.
