Actress-writer Charlayne Woodard's in-progress one-woman show, Stories, slated for a staging at Seattle Repertory Theatre in 1999-2000, goes through its growing pains May 21-23 in the Rep's New Play Workshop Series. Stories is the working title of Woodard's piece, inspired by her years as a young actress in New York City. Dan Sullivan directs both the workshop and the full staging next season.

Woodard's previous works at Seattle Rep are Pretty Fire (1994-95) and Neat (1996-97).
