Created by the late American Theatre Wing Chairman Isabelle Stevenson, the series, now in its 31st year, presents major theatre personalities discussing their craft.
The Oct. 7 seminar, simply titled "Playwrights," will feature a roundtable discussion with Edward Albee, Harvey Fierstein, Paula Vogel and John Weidman. Jeffrey Eric Jenkins, editor of the "Best Plays" series, will moderate the 12-1:30 PM discussion.
"Puppetry and Theatre" is the title of the second seminar, set for 12-1:30 PM on Oct. 21. American Theatre Wing Executive Director Howard Sherman will moderate the discussion, which is set to feature Avenue Q's Jennifer Barnhart and Rick Lyon; Pam Arciero, the artistic director of the O'Neill Puppetry Conference; Roman Paska, the past director of the International Institute of Puppetry; and Symphonie Fantastique's Basil Twist.
The fall season concludes Nov. 4 with "The Not for Profits of Broadway." The 12 PM discussion, moderated by Theatre Communications Group's Ben Cameron, is set to include Lincoln Center's Andre Bishop and Bernard Gersten, Manhattan Theatre Club's Lynne Meadow and Barry Grove and the Roundabout Theatre Company's Todd Haimes and Ellen Richard.
