As previously reported, Reed (Bubbling Brown Sugar, The High Rollers Social and Pleasure Club) will portray Panama Jones, who the authors describe as a composite of the great club stars of the era and self-proclaimed "queen of the nightclubs."

Bogardus (Falsettos, Man of La Mancha) will portray Jones' business partner, with Mason (The Capeman) as a society woman and Barzee (Jekyll & Hyde, Miss Saigon) as her devious best friend. Cody (Shrek) and Tolivar (Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) are characters in the nightclub scene.

The principal cast will also feature Damon Kirsche (Strike Up the Band), Robert Hartwell (Nice Work if You Can Get It), Todd Lawson (Summer and Smoke), Matt Loehr (Movin' Out, Mary Poppins), Jenelle Lynn Randall (All Shook Up) and Michael Scott (110 in the Shade, Follies).

The ensemble will include Richard Byron, Sean Ewing, Nick Kepley, Brandon Leffler, Jeff Legace, Nathan Lucrezio, Alicia Lundgren, Brittany Marcin, Sarah Meahl, Jessica Osborne, Pamela Otterson, Lindsay Roginski, Brandon Rubendall, Ashley Anne Russ, Steve Schepis, Britton Smith and Elisa Van Duyne.

Featuring direction and choreography by Scott Thompson, who co-authored the book with musical arranger Fred Barton, One for My Baby promises such classics as "Stormy Weather," "Get Happy," "The Man that Got Away," "Come Rain or Come Shine," "It's Only a Paper Moon," "Accentuate the Positive," "That Old Black Magic" and "Blues in the Night." Presented Oct. 10-12 in Manhattan, One for My Baby is billed as "a song-and-dance celebration of big-city nightlife at the end of World War II."

"A full Harold Arlen score has not been heard on Broadway since 1959's Saratoga," said Sam Arlen, the composer's son, in a statement. "What Scott and Fred have created would give his music a long overdue representation on the Broadway stage after over half a century."

One for My Baby is co-produced by One for My Baby, LLC, and The Broadway Musicals Company, in association with Carolyn and Marc Seriff, Louise H. Beard, Maureen E. Gillespie, Carolyn Gallagher, Brian Zucker, Karl Held, Cliff and Linda Mountain, Ginger Morris, Darryl Reuben Hall and Travis P. Brendle.
