News York Theatre Company to Present Reading of New Dale Wasserman Play Dale Wasserman, who penned One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, based on Ken Kesey's novel, has written a new play.

Entitled Premiere, the work will be presented as part of the York Theatre Company's Developmental Reading Series. Free public readings are scheduled for Aug. 8 at 7:30 PM and Aug. 9 at 3 and 7:30 PM. "Light fireworks!," press notes for Premiere read. "Stop presses! Run a news-crawl on TV! This newly-discovered play by The Bard of Avon is clearly the Event of the Century! Unless…could it possibly be a fake? One set, six characters – loosing a load of laughter and armed with an edge of satire and never-disclosed information about the man called Shakespeare."

Wasserman also wrote the book for the Tony-winning musical Man of La Mancha.
