News Young Frankenstein's Foster Will Be Part of New York Pops Season Tony Award winner Sutton Foster, who will soon return to the New York stage in the eagerly awaited Young Frankenstein, will also be part of the 2007-2008 New York Pops season at Carnegie Hall.

Foster, who won her Tony for her work in Thoroughly Modern Millie, will be part of the April 4, 2008, Pops evening, which is titled Oscar Hammerstein: The Song Is You. The 8 PM concert, featuring the Pops under the direction of David Charles Abell, will also include performances by Rosena Hill and Aaron Lazar.

The New York Pops season will kick off Oct. 26 at 8 PM in the Stern Auditorium with That's Entertainment: Hollywood's Golden Era. Stuart Malina will conduct the evening, which will also boast singer Michael Feinstein and violinist Pip Clarke.

A Holiday Celebration will be presented Dec. 14 and 15 at 8 PM. Doc Severinsen will conduct the Pops, and the evenings will feature soprano Nicole Cabell and the Fort Worth-TCU Symphonic Choir under the direction of Ronald Shirey.

Gershwin: Great Moments from 'Porgy and Bess' and 'Dayful of Song' is scheduled for Jan. 25, 2008. The cast will feature Morenike Fadayomi (Bess/Clara), Howard Haskin (Sportin' Life), Kevin Short (Porgy) and Angela Simpson (Serena). Andrew Litton will conduct the Pops orchestra, and the evening will also include the Dallas Symphony Chorus under the direction of David Davidson.

On Feb. 8, Tony winner Marvin Hamlisch will conduct an evening simply titled Swingin' with Marvin. Tickets, priced $27, $31, $40, $68, $88, and $98, are available at the Carnegie Hall box office, 154 West 57th Street.
