The Argentine production of Tom Ziegler's comedy Grace and Glorie (Gracia y Gloria) opened July 22 at the Del Globo Theatre in Buenos Aires. The play was presented Off-Broadway at the Laura Pels Theatre in 1996, starring Lucie Arnaz and Estelle Parsons and directed by Gloria Muzio. Grace and Glorie tells the story of an ambitious New York woman who moves away from the City, only to find everything but peace and quiet.
In the Argentine production, the title roles will be played by Lydia Lamaison (Lost in Yonkers) and Marta Bianchi. The production is directed by Julio Baccaro and the sets are by Maria Julia Bertotto.
Tickets are available at the Del Globo Theatre, Marcelo T. de Alvear 1155 (816-3307). Performances: Wednesday 8:30 PM, Thursday 7:30 PM, Friday 9:00 PM, Saturday 10:00 PM and Sunday 7:30 PM.
