A Two-Show Day at Broadway's Something Rotten! With John Cariani
Waking up. That’s my dog Milo.
Milo is slow to wake up.
Going for a run. Matinees always feel so early. So I have to go for a run to wake up.
On my run—awesome view of the GWB.
Not an omelette. But—eggs for breakfast!
Getting to the theater and seeing Leslie, one of the head usher guys.
Lolly my (and Heidi Blickenstaff’s and Kate Reinders’) dresser. She keeps us looking good and feeling good. She comes to our rescue when we have colds. She knows how to heal.
I get to the theater at half-hour. And Kate and Heidi are getting into hair and costumes and so I don’t see them until the places call. So I yell Hi through the door.
My Sonos. I love it. Favorite thing in my dressing room. Right now it’s playing Little Big Town. Wayne Kirkpatrick (he co-wrote the score and lyrics to Something Rotten! with his brother Karey) produced and wrote on their first few albums. They’re my favorite country band.
Christian Borle bring me creme brulee almonds. From Starbucks. Because I love them. He has his Shakespeare rockstar makeup on already.
